Improve Your Blog Month-Week 3&4

Well I admit it, between spring break and life in general I have been a bad event host. Not only have I not posted about improving your blog-but I have neglected to actually DO anything to improve my blog.
I have made a vow that I will specifically work on it the rest of this week!
I have noticed one thing out there on the blogosphere in the last few weeks-a lack of “search” boxes on blogs. I have had a couple of posts where I wanted to cross link to topics that I KNEW I had seen previously (but months ago) on two specific blogs, but neither one of them had a way to search their posts. Sigh. So please, for the sake of your readers, make sure you have a search box! If you use the standard Blogger template and haven’t removed the Blogger header, then you are good, there is one up there. Otherwise you need to look into getting a widget!
And speaking of widgets, does anyone know where I can get that widget that changes my long lists on my sidebars so that they expand and contract?
Has anyone out there been doing better than me? Please join on the Mr. Linky below if you have and we’ll pop over and check it out!
Are there any a specific improvement topics you would like some information on? Let me know.

The expandable menu you are referring to is Flooble.com.
Have you entertained the idea of moving to WordPress? I found it to be much more flexible than Blogger. My blog didn’t really take off until I moved it to WordPress.
Mrs. M-You are always good for blog technical advice. Thanks!
FD-I’ve thought about the wordpress thing. Honestly, I’m worried about losing all my current links etc. Right now I’ve been blogging for 2 years, and I get about half of my hits from google searches-which must mean my in and outgoing links, keywords etc are pretty good. If I move then my inbound links would be all messed up etc. Also, blogger seems to be making some good beta changes right now that hopefully will improve it. I’m just going to hang tight for right now, but keep that idea in the back of my head.
Having gone through the exact same scenario you describe, I couldn’t agree more about the search box thing. Why would any design come without one?
