Nestle Tollhouse Cookie Dough Recall

IMPORTANT NEWS: Nestle Tollhouse is voluntary recalling it’s refrigerated cookie dough products. That is over 40 products. According to the press release:
Nestlé is taking this action out of an abundance of caution after being notified that the Food and Drug Administration, together with the Centers for Disease Control, are conducting an investigation into reported E. coli 0157:H7 illnesses that may be related to consumption of raw cookie dough.

Nestle also wants to remind everyone that~like it states on the label~you should cook their cookie dough before eating.
Note: Kudos to Nestle and their PR Firm Publicis for getting this information into the hands of the social media folks as quickly as the regular news media. Due to my association with Stouffers/Nestle via the “Let’s Fix Dinner” event, this wound up in my inbox at 10:30 am EST on the day of the Press Relase.

Oh my gosh! It’s official.. we live in a country full of idiots LOL Anytime you consume something that’s RAW you stand the chance of getting sick. Just because it looks good doesn’t mean it’s good for you. Would people eat a slab of meat fresh out of the the package? Of course not! They shouldn’t have to recall their products just to be nice to the dumb people.

I had both sites running for about a week and a half, then combined both the “blogspot.com” and this “.com” together early this week.
Ok. I guess I am one of those idiots. lol. I LOVE raw cookie dough. But being frugal, I never buy cookie dough. Always make it from scratch – yummy.
I am unhappy because of the recall because I have two backs of cookie dough in my fridge. Still, it is good they made this so public because I ALWAYS love to eat raw cookie dough; it the majority of the fun! Anyone who says otherwise needs to try it (if you have, I am sorry!).
