It’s been a long time since I’ve done a Vlog, but the spirit was moving me this week, so I made up this great little video on how to utilize a great frugal fashion accessory-the scarf! I’ve noticed that there are a plethora of scarves in the stores this fall, so not only is it frugal, but it is very trendy.

Here, in just a few minutes I will show you 11 different ways to wear a single rectangular scarf.

Which way was your favorite? Do you have a different way you like to wear a scarf?

    I like this video.

I have 1 black scarf and I sometimes wear it ‘pirate’ style to cover all of my hair in a religious manner. I have seen people who wear it ‘pirate’ style while still letting their (long) hair flow out the bottom.

But I like the idea of using brightly colored scarves to add color to an outfit. I’m not sure if I personally would wear it around my neck since I feel choked oftentimes.

I liked #4 best. Actually, this is terrific because I am getting ready to knit a lace scarf and really enjoyed seeing the creative ways to wear a scarf. Thanks so much! :)

  3. I love it! I always thing scarves look fabulous on other people, but I never like them much on myself. Maybe I’ll try a few of yours. :)

My two favorites actually aren’t in your vlog! Around the neck tied with one knot loosely in front just below the breasts. Around the neck with the ends hanging down my back. I also own a really long scarf, and that one I wrap around twice with one wrap looser than the first and tie in back, or snug around my neck and wrapped around again to the front and tied just below the breasts.

One can also wear a rectangular scarf like a hijab, which is really handy if it’s raining, humid, or you’re in a convertable.

Yes, I’m one of those women who doesn’t think I can wear scarves, but thanks to your vlog I’m going to give it a try!

Great video and great ideas! I am one of those women who feel that they are too short to wear scarves, but now, thanks to you, I have some different ideas! I also like the idea of using a scarf as a belt.

You can also wear it around your hips as a belt & if the scarf is wide enough you can use it as a make shift shawl.

Most people list 4 or 5 ways to (do something) but you have 11! Great video! Like Cici said (in the comment before this one) if you add wearing a scarf like a belt, or as a shirt, or tying it to a handbag, the possibilities and combinations are almost endless! Scarves are the perfect ‘frugal’ addition to the wardrobe – they double and triple the outfits :)

Great video! You are a scarf queen! :)

It’s a really frugal accessory for sure! 25 cents at my local thrift shop.

I have a couple pins that I like to use with scarves. If it is open in the middle – like a heart pin – you can do even more.

I have a nice big white one that is nice with a fancier dress. If the AC is cold I can use it like a shawl to cover my arms. When I get warm it just hangs around my neck.
