Quick Tip-Storing Christmas Clothes

by Jenn @ Frugal Upstate on December 28, 2006

Just wanted to post this while I was thinking of it!

This is more an organizational tip rather than a money saver per say-last year I decided to pack away my Christmas themed clothing and table linens with my actual Christmas decorations. It worked like a charm. Instead of getting buried at the back of the closet and totally forgotten for the entire season, I found them when I unpacked all the other household decorations and was able to use them for the season. Now I have washed all the sweaters, shirts and linens, and when the trees, wreaths etc come down, the clothes and linens will get packed away with them again until next year.

Just a quick tip.

Hey, Jenn, thanks for the Christmas greeting. I hope you had a wonderful holiday, too!
I have a big box in my attic marked “Christmas Linens, Stockings and Clothes.” The kids’ stockings, plus all my tablecloths, dishtowels, sweatshirts and anything like that go into it. You are right–it’s better to do this than to lose something in the back of the closet!

I don’t have any real Christmas themed clothes, but I have done that with towels and mugs and so-forth and I agree – it works great!

Happy New Year!
