Campbell’s Holiday Recipe Guide Giveaway

by Jenn @ Frugal Upstate on October 30, 2008

Hey all, just a quick giveaway! While I was on my trip to Walmart HQ earlier this month, we thrown a delicious Thanksgiving style dinner by the staff at the Campbell’s test kitchen. Decorating the tables were these fun Holiday Recipe Guide:

They told us to keep them, and now I have two to give away to my lucky readers (aka YOU)!

The booklet is a spiral bound, plastic laminated and “table tent” style, which is tres convenient when you are cooking. Included are not only the typical Thanksgiving recipes (stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes) but also “Day After Dishes” like Pumpkin Puff Pancakes and Campbell’s Turkey & Broccoli Alfredo.

Because of ease of mailing, this giveaway is open to overseas residents (and all of my giveaways are always open to APO’s) To enter just leave a comment below. Winners will be drawn at 2pm tomorrow. Good luck!

I’d love to win this! Please tell us more about your dinner. I assume they made several of the meals from these? How did they decorate? Inquiring minds want to know!

Please consider me for the recipe collection —-I am SO glad I found your blog – don’t even remember how I found it now! DH and I are both retired enlisted and while we enjoyed our moeny while active duty and did save – wish we had saved a whole lot more. My son learned from our mistakes and is saving nearly half his pay (single O3 – he bought his first home the second year he was commissioned and his second one last year, and his furniture is something else – his living room has the couch, BIG screen TV and his weightbench — that’s it! The bedroom and study are about the same). DH has accepted a contractor position in Sicily at the Navy base so we’ve had to purge down to less than 8000 lbs – that’s the max that his new company will ship. We can take advantage of the markets and eat more seasonally there. Thanks for everything you do – Pam J

I love laminated and tent-able cookbooks. I have to put plastic wrap over recipes while I cook b/c I tend to splatter things.

Do you know when your video about having a frugal Thanksgiving will be posted?

Back to the recipe topic, I can’t thank you enough for referring me to the recipezaar web site. – Mac

Well Thanksgiving isn’t at my house because unlike last year I am not 8 months pregnant. But unlike last year I can actually gorge myself! (Should I be proud of that?) So bring on the recipes because my sister has never done Thanksgiving at her place before and she will appreciate this.

I love your blog. And I’d love to have this prize. After travelling for many years at Thanksgiving, we’ll be home this year, and cooking. So any recipes/tips will be most welcome.

Food gifts are always welcome at holiday time. They’re inexpensive and are always appropriate gifts to offer neighbours, your kids’ caregivers or as hostess gifts. You’ll always impress with a plate of homemade holiday cookies or muffins, served in a beautiful basket or plate that they can keep.
