Giveaway! Baby Alive.

by Jenn @ Frugal Upstate on December 21, 2008

One Day Giveaway! Ends at 10pm Tonight!!

((OK folks, last giveaway from the holidays. I promise!))

Baby Alive. Well that brings back some memories. I had one of the original Baby Alive dolls-I won’t mention when that was. It is so funny sometimes to see today’s kids enjoying the same toys I did.

But then again, this isn’t quite the same toy I had. It’s BETTER. You press her bracelet and she talks-letting you know when she’s hungry, thirsty, or needs to use the potty. Now I do have one friend who said that the talking drove them nuts, and you do have to be sure to feed her a water to rinse out her system after feeding her food (don’t want nasty bacteria growing in there) But I bet if you have a child who is potty training (a stage that I am thankfully beyond) this would be a great doll to use for modeling.

Now I know, to an adult having to feed, change and potty train a doll sounds like work, but when I asked Princess (7yrs old) about it, she said it was “cool”!

Baby Alive Learns to Potty Doll:

  • Encourages valuable, imaginative role-play
  • Doll feeds, makes noises and acts like a real baby
  • Comes with potty, dress, two doll diapers
  • Also includes bottle with nipple and cap, bowl, spoon
  • Two packets of doll food, bib and package of wipes

The doll I have to give away is the Caucasian one. It is also available in Hispanic and African American, and retails at Walmart for $48.88.

You have the opportunity to enter this giveaway three separate times:

#1 Leave a comment.
#2 Subscribe to Frugal Upstate and then come back and leave another comment (if you are already subscribed then leave a separate comment saying so).
#3 Blog about this giveaway on your site, then come back and leave another comment.

Remember, it is important that each of these be a separate comment in order for me to tally it up! The winner will be chosen using the random number generator.

I will announce the winner shortly after 10 pm tonight, and try to mail it on Monday. With some luck and really expensive shipping it may even get there for Christmas.

And sorry folks, due to shipping costs this giveaway is only open to folks in the US or APOs.

What a terribly ugly doll! I always wanted a daughter but when I see toys like this I am thankful that I have only sons!

Prolly to late to win, but still you have the best giveaways. I spent the bitterly cold day at the hospital visiting a new mommy and little one. My husband told me we should think about #2. I want #1 to be 1 before we think again. Ah, baby dolls. rebecca342 at gmail.com
