Giveaway! Set Your Table, Courtesy of Walmart

One of the most fantastic things about being chosen as one of Walmart’s 11 Moms is that I’ve been given the chance to pass on so many wonderful gifts along to you all in the form of giveaways. I’ve had quite a few of the season’s top toys to give away (and will continue to give away, right up until Christmas) but now I have something for Mom & Dad.

Walmart is going to help one lucky reader to set their table for the holidays.

Yes, the winner of this giveaway will receive:

A place setting for 8 of Gold or Silver Rimmed (your choice) porcelain dinnerware:
A set of 8 chargers in your choice of Red, Silver or Gold:

A damask table runner in red, green, silver or gold:

Now this isn’t fine china-a set for 4 retails for about $16. But they look very pretty on a well set table. I myself bought a set of this exact dinnerware (with the gold rim) a few years back when I was having a very large crew over for Thanksgiving. Our wedding china is white, with a gold rim and little blue flowers. I have a place setting for 8-but that wasn’t enough to serve everyone on.

It was the first time in our married life that we were having the entire extended family over, and I really wanted the table to look nice. I even considered buying additional pieces of our set, but Yankee Bill had bought the china in Prague when we were stationed in Germany, and you couldn’t get the pieces.

So I purchased the white and gold dinnerware, and it was complementary enough that was able to mix and match it (every 3rd place setting) to stretch out my good china set and accommodate everyone.

Now to the giveaway. This giveaway will run from today, Monday November 24th to Noon, Wednesday November 26th.
