Reader’s Question: Why so much Walmart?

I really enjoy your blog. Your thoughts on gardening, your frugal lifestyle ideas, and your take on things can be helpful and even inspirational. Lately, though, the blog feels a little….Walmart heavy. And while I can appreciate some of the bargains they offer as much as the next gal, (and I know some sponsored posts pop up in most blogs these days) I enjoy hearing from the real you much more.

Looking forward to reading more-Annie

Annie (and all the rest of you who might have been thinking it but haven’t yet written in)-

Thanks for writing!  I really do appreciate it, and your opinions!  I am caught in a situation right now where I’ve been so busy with canning and the kids being back to school ( which should have freed up time but instead we are in our second week and have two kids worth of sports & scouts, open houses for both kids), etc etc…I’ve barely had time to write!  When I get into that sort of situation the paying posts are what wind up getting done first.

It’s a time management issue on my end-I hope to have things back in the swing a bit better soon and have a better balance of the non sponsored stuff to the sponsored.  I do realized that although the sponsored posts are what pays the bills, the non-sponsored posts are what keeps folks coming back.

I am sensitive to it and working on it.  I hope you-and everyone else–can have patience with me for a little bit.  As we head into the holiday seasons (Halloween-Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Years) the sponsored post opportunities generally pick up and sometimes due to the deadlines and my life I don’t have a lot of flexibility.  I’ll continue to do my best to balance everything out and hopefully, as much as possible, do some additional posting when the balance gets a bit out of whack so you can have many different types of content to choose from.

Thanks for being a reader and for caring enough about reading to take the time to write me–it really does mean a lot!

Jenn

No worries. Don’t you shop there anyway? And you give your own spin on whatever it is.
