OK, so you guys won’t let me play in the Festival of Under 30 Finances (Gee, just cause I’m 34!). So I was excited when I saw that “Making Our Way” had started a new Carnival-The 30’s and 40’s Carnival of Personal Finances. I even got an article in!
This is only their second Carnival, and they are still trying to define exactly who the “30’s and 40’s” audience is for personal finance (PF) is. In the first paragraph they mention this post where they are trying to make a definition. I think you all should take a look.
I personally felt that using the assumption that the PF audience in their 30’s and 40’s was in either managerial or executive positions was erroneous, and wrote in the comments to that effect. After all, a lot of us in the frugal subset also read about PF and are not necessarily managerial. That does not mean we don’t have the same interests. Make your voice heard if you think you will continue to read. If you don’t think you are going to be interested, I guess you can just lurk and say nothing 🙂
Oh, and just as a note, I don’t think I’ll be doing a full round up every week of this carnival-we’ll have to see. Just reading every article and writing a concise blurb on my favorites can take quite a bit of time. If I start doing that on too many carnivals, festivals et al, it could take all day and turn my site into a compiler rather than original posts.
