Sorry! I meant to get back to this yesterday, but life-as always-intervened. Buddy actually took a nap, so I took a nap, and there went my blog writing time. Since I’m still stage managing at night I really needed the extra sleep
You all still love me, right?
As I said yesterday, the Festival was hosted over at Stingy Students. There were 30 entries arranged in a “Food Network” format (don’t know what that means? Well head over and check it out). Here are a few of my favorites from this week:
Bean Sprouts (from England) has a nice post on “Save Money, Save the Planet“. I always think it is interesting how many people start out thinking strictly about frugality, and how over time their thought processes start turning more to sustainability and simplicity rather than simply saving money.
Savvy Steward has a list of DIY sites. Looks like some good places to check out there! (as if I don’t spend enough time online as it is)
There is an article on Mortaine’s Blog about her joining the “compact” where they swear not to spend money for 100 days. She lists some of the things she has done instead of spending. Interesting. . . .
And finally “My Financial Journey” has a thoughtful post on “Walking the Fine Line of Frugality“. In it there is discussion about the line between frugality and cheapness, living frugally vs. pushing the ethical envelope, and balancing frugality and greed.
Of course, there are 27 other great posts to read, so head on over for some frugal goodness!
