Don’t forget to tune in to tonight’s Frugal Coast2Coast show to hear Lynnae and I talk with fitness expert Jonathan Roche about “How to Exercise on a Budget“.
As always, we’d love to see you in the chat room, or to have you call in and ask Jonathan your fitness questions.
Won’t be able to listen live, but still want to ask a question? Leave it in the comments, we’ll ask Jonathan on air for you, and then you can listen to the show “On Demand” at your convenience.
Remember, the show is at 8:30 EST every Monday night! You can head on over right now and set a reminder email as well.
See you there!

I have some suggestions:
Outlets and Target are great to buy fitness apparel. I started out buying the really really cheap cotton stuff and that was terrible. So I have learned that I need to splurge on wicking material (it doesn’t absorb your sweat) although it is definitely pricey. The Champion line at Target is affordable and good quality. I also bought some jogging pants at a Reebok outlet that have lasted me a while. For me, having a good pair of socks and a running bra is essential.
I can’t afford a gym or classes, but I did look into both and found that the most affordable classes around are public classes offered by a local university.
The most frugal exercise options that fit into my budget are outdoor running and indoor exercise videos. For the latter, I use my netflix subscription and the Instant Watch option to have a huge variety of workout videos that I can watch (at no additional subscription fee) instantly on my computer or tv. This means I’m not stuck using the same video over and over; also not dishing out dough for a whole series. I have the 1-at-a-time-unlimited monthly plan for $8.99.

Great Post! I really like the back seat cover idea and will definitely be getting one. I also will be adapting your life kit to fit our family. Thanks.

Linty-I never thought about the netflix on demand viewing-I have the subscription but haven’t really used that option. I’ll have to check it out!
Debbie-covering the back seat is a worthwhile expense as far as I am concerned when you have kiddos. They make SUCH a mess back there! And I can’t tell you how many times that life kit has helped me out-using the tylenol, or fixing a button. .

Sorry Harry, but your post seemed to be spammy-laden with back links to weight loss pills. If I am wrong and you are not employed by the weight loss pill people, please accept my apologies.
