Laptop Withdrawal!

Ack-this desktop is so darn slow! I just don’t know how I’ll survive another week until my laptop comes back.

R January 25, 2008 at 10:45 am: I know that feeling of frustration. It’s the one I get every time I try to access the internet at home where we still have excruciatingly slow dial up service. I have to knit or sweep the floor or something between page loads because it drives me so crazy!

Anonymous January 25, 2008 at 12:17 pm: We just went through that, when my wife’s laptop was in its final death throes. Not much else leads to that kind of frustration! But ahh, the relief of finally having the insurance of a speedy and reliable computer makes it all worthwhile… once the new machine arrives, at least! It will come.=)

Anonymous January 25, 2008 at 1:05 pm: we found out when hubby’s laptop bit it that norton, mcAfee, and windows defender all have huge gaping holes in their spywaer/virus programs. There are better (and FREE) programs out there. I know one is from google. I’ll ask hubby about the others and let you know. All his laptop needed was better “disinfecting” and protection. Evelyn
