Well, this weekend just past wound up going rather differently than planned. . . so we didn’t make the Aloo Gobi or the fish chowder. We will work both of those in this week instead.
Monday: Kids Choice
The kids are home from school for Presidents day today-so later this afternoon we will choose together what we are going to make for dinner and they can help me cook. I am even willing to run out to the store for ingredients we don’t have on this one-even if it is more expensive it will be worth it for the family time and the educational experience.
Tuesday: Out for Dinner/Chicken Nuggets
Yankee Bill and I are going out for a local charity steak dinner. The kiddos will be home with a babysitter and have chicken nuggets (Aldi’s brand), rice (leftover) and canned veggies of their choice.
Wednesday: Aloo Gobi, Rice & Naan
Since I didn’t get a chance to try this delicious sounding Aloo Gobi recipe from Recipezaar last week, I’ll try it this week instead. This is my vegetarian meal for the week
Thursday: Corn Fish Chowder & Biscuits
This will be my fish meal for the week.
With the ever present Pizza Hut Crust Clone recipe of course.
Saturday: Turkey dinner w/all the trimmings & Carrot Cake
My mom is coming for her birthday this weekend-so I’ll fix her favorite meal. Thanksgiving style turkey dinner 🙂
Sunday: Leftover Buffet
There should be plenty of leftovers from the week-so we’ll do a buffet style dinner to use them up.
