Longtime reader Evelyn wrote in (after laughing about the fact that she was offering fashion advice at all!):
Here is some frugal fashion advice! Keep it simple.Jeans and T are always in fashion, BUT not the left over sorority tees! I went to old navy and got several plain t-shirts of decent quality that will last for quite some time. Some of them were even on clearance. That works for me!
For work, really, I have 4 pairs of classic style pants and a variety of tops to mix and match. When I wear a skirt, my friends and coworkers know I need to do laundry.
Great advice Evelyn! We all want to look good without spending a fortune. I myself like to shop at thrift store for either well made classic pieces (like the black wool Jones NY pea coat I bought for $20-retails for $300) or else for super trendy, don’t want to spend the money ’cause I won’t wear it next year anyway stuff.
How about you? What’s your best frugal fashion advice?
