The Dead of Winter is Time to Think of Spring!

by Jenn @ Frugal Upstate on January 22, 2007

Yes! January and February is time to start pouring over all your seed catalogs and start thinking of what you will be planting in the flower beds and out in the veggie garden this year.

It’s weird, because usually I don’t get my seed catalogs until January, but this year they started showing up in December. Here are the catalogs that show up on my doorstep every year. Trust me, if you go to their website and poke around there will be somewhere that you can sign up for their mailing list and you too will be inundated with mouthwatering gardening catalogs!

Territorial Seed Company
Pinteree Garden Seeds
Seed Savers Exchange
Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds
Harris Seeds
John Scheepers Kitchen Garden Seeds
Seeds of Change (certified organic)
Jung
Gurneys
Shumways (OK, order this one just to look at, it is formatted just like an old fashioned newspaper with vintage looking black and white line drawings. Very cool.)

Now I’ve just got to start taking a look and decide what I’m going to plant up this year. I’ve got to start my winter sowing soon. . . .
