Princess Lunchbox Report 11-27-06

by Jenn @ Frugal Upstate on November 27, 2006

Here is today’s lineup:

Breakfast snack-a peeled orange and chocolate milk (just as an FYI, I use regular milk and then either the syrup or powder, whichever I’ve gotten at a good price, to make both the pink milk and chocolate milk.)

Lunch:

Mac ‘n Cheese in the wide mouth thermos (this is leftovers from Sat night. I make the cheapo 33 cent box from Aldi’s, but then add some real shredded mozzarella and cheddar to it. I think it tastes so much better that way.)

Carrot sticks (from a bag of organic carrots I bought about 4 weeks ago-it was a 2 lb bag to make it the least cost per savings, and the bag has really lasted.)
Cabbage salad (I bought two bags of “cole slaw” shredded in a bag the other day because it was reduced. I ate some to fill me up the other day with just a little balsamic salad dressing and Princess asked for some. She wound up eating 2 bowls full. So today she is getting a small Tupperware container with some in it)

Homemade Brownie Bites (I made these from a box mix in my mini muffin pan last night and will freeze a few to add to my “desert” stash for her in the freezer)

Kool Aid (I am STILL trying to use up the orange powder from the failed cream-sicle recipe. . . .only about 3 more drinks and it will be gone!)
