I love your lunchbox report. Thanks for posting it every week, it is very inspiring! My kids actually make their own lunches- but their enthusiasm for doing so has waned tremendously. So I am trying to keep a basket full of “lunch” items in the fridge. So thank you for all your wonderful ideas! What kind of container do you send the milk and juice in? It seems like every bottle we’ve ever bought always leaks.
Kristi-I’m glad that you like it
I acually reuse the plastic milk containers that you can get with a happymeal. I know, some people say that stuff leaks out of those bottles because they weren’t made for reuse. . . I probably should find something better. But they haven’t leaked. If I’m sending in Milk for lunch I just put about a 1/4 inch of milk in the bottom of the container and freeze it overnight, then add the rest in the morning. It keeps everything cold and melts during the day by lunchtime.
