It’s an interesting phenomenon. Knowing that I will be posting the contents of Princess’ lunch online had caused me to be much more creative than I might have otherwise. So I have decided to tack on to the end of the lunchbox report what my dinner menu for that day will be. Hopefully this will start to alleviate the 330pm “Gee, what should I make for dinner tonight” phenomenon, and force me not to fall in a rut!
Here we go-
For Breakfast Snack:
Dry Dora Star Cereal (bought at Real Deals for a Dollar)
5 Mini Colored Marshmallows (thrown in w/ the cereal)
Water
Lunch:
2 Slices of Wheat Bread
2 Laughing Cow Light Garlic and Herb Wedges (OK, not cheap but I have them on hand for my weight loss efforts, and she liked the idea of the little wedges and spreading her own cheese on the bread)
Tomato Soup (milk based, not water)
Canned Peaches (in a small container)
Pink Milk
2 Oreo Wannabees (left over from the Oreo Truffles)
Dinner Menu:
Chicken Breasts (been in the freezer for like 4 mo-good thing they are vacuum sealed)
Oven Fries (I like Miss Maggie’s recipe)
Turnip Greens or Chard (whichever I grab from the freezer. Frozen from the garden this summer and cooked in broth made with the Ham bullion from the Mennonite bulk store. I’ll probably toss in some dried minced onion and a dash of Tabasco)
Leftover Chocolate Cake (DH and kiddos need to eat this up before I eat any more, my lovely MIL brought over a chocolate cake with maple frosting for our traditional potato pancake dinner we had with the tree decorating. . . )

Well, if anyone cares, time sort of got away from me, so I nixed the fries and made noodles for the kiddos, and just cracked a can of green beans instead of pulling out the frozen greens.
