I usually don’t advocate making cookies from a box-let’s face it, from scratch is usually healthier and cheaper. But if you need a quick easy cookie fix these are a good bet.
And after all, I can pick up brownie mix for $.89 a box at Aldi’s 🙂
Brownie Crinkle Cookies
1 box brownie mix
1 egg
1/4 C water
1/2 C powdered sugar
Mix brownie mix, egg and water.
Roll into 1″ balls, then roll in powdered sugar.
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes on an greased cookie sheet.
Enjoy!

I have never made it with a brownie mix but make these all the time from scratch. They are my husband’s favorite. With the kind I make the batter is sticky when you try to make balls. I put in the freezer for about 20 minutes and then form the balls- it helps sooo much. Was this a problem with the brownie batter? Thanks for the heads up- I will have to try making them this way.

I made last year from brownie mix and they were sticky too, so did the freezer first.

Sounds yummy! Of course our Aldi increased brownie mix prices to 1.29. So we had to go cold turkey.

These sound great! What size is the brownie mix — the one that makes a 9×13 pan or an 8″ square? I always have brownie mix on hand so this would be a good “go to” recipe to add to my collection.

I want to make these now and same as Nancy, I need to know what size box to use! I was hoping someone else figured it out. I guess I will experiment and see what works. My local grocery had Betty Crocker mix for $1.00 per box. Not bad!

I have a Martha Stewart recipe that looks VERY similar to these, but if WAY more complicated. (of course!) I’m trying these this weekend…YUM.

You know, it’s been a while since I made these and I’m not sure what size box I used.
Tell you what, just for you all I’ll force myself (the trial!) to make a batch today and report back.

I was looking for a new cookie to add to my Christmas repertoire. With very little time to cook, this one is perfect! Thanks!

Don’t mean to be a bother, but I’m wondering if you had a chance to make these again this weekend to answer our question of “which size of box?” I will be needing to do some baking this week and would like to do this if possible. Thanks so much.
