I don’t think I’d waste Crown Royal, Makers Mark or anything like that on a drink that was going to have so much other stuff mixed in

Thanks. I did some reading and came up with Evan Williams Black Label, but mentioned it to my husband, and you should have seen the look I received! He’s a die hard Crown Royal fan, but I can’t see him letting me pollute it with anything else.

Um. uh. I don’t usually buy it very often either. I would say that just about anything that isn’t “bob’s whiskey” would work-after all you are adding a lot of other flavors to it! I’d say something like Wild Turkey is fine.
