I just wanted you to know that I found your blog when I did a search for the mysterious " refrigerator (potato) bread" mentioned in the Tightwad Gazette. I've been hooked ever since. I live overseas and I wanted to share that I've been able to substitute sweet potatoes (not bright orange ones but something sweeter than a regular potato and with more vitamins) for regular potato. Also, during a power cut, I had to leave the dough out after I made it for several hours, and the "sour dough" taste came a lot sooner than expected, but it still worked great.
