Easy Decorated Lunchbags

August 14, 2015 By Jenn @ Frugal Upstate Leave a Comment

Sometimes it’s nice to add a little fun to your kids lunches.  Sure you could make checkerboard sandwiches or easy sandwich rolls to spice things up, but how about decorating their lunchbags!

Easy Decorated Lunchbags

I created these quick, easy and inexpensive ideas for Walmart to celebrate back to school!  I promise–I know how busy we all are, these are not things that are going to take a long time.  Simple is the key word here!

1. Easy Chalkboard Lunchbag

Quick and Easy Chalkboard Lunchbag

To make this easy lunchbag just head to the scrapbooking aisle of your local Walmart and pick up a package of chalkboard stickers.  Place one on the bag and add the name or a note.  Then add a small piece of chalk into the bag so they can make their own messages during lunch!

Can’t find the chalkboard stickers?  You have options!  You could pick up some chalkboard Duck Tape at Walmart and just cut out a rectangle to attach to the bag.  Or you could just cut a shape out of black construction paper and write on it with a white crayon for the chalkboard look.

2. Simple Sticker Lunchbag

Talk about simple.  Just buy some stickers (these cost less than a dollar in the Kid’s crafting aisle) and use them to decorate the bag!  You are only limited by your imagination.  I bet primary school kids would love to help out and decorate the bag themselves.  Then all you have to worry about is packing the lunch.

3.  Quick & Dainty LunchbagQuick Dainty Lunchbag

Here’s one a young lady in your life should like.  Fold the top of the bag over and use a pair of scrapbooking scissors to cut an interesting edge on the bag.  While still folded use hole punchers to, well, punch a couple of holes.  Fill the bag, fold back over, and thread some nice ribbon from the sewing department through the holes.  Dainty and sweet in no time at all.

There you have it, 3 easy and fun ways to decorate you child’s lunchbag this year!
