I’m a “CrockStar”!

October 6, 2011 By Jenn @ Frugal Upstate 1 Comment

I love my Crock-Pot.

Well, Crock-Pots. . . because I’m up to, uh, 4 full size, a dip size and a spare liner now.

Hmm.  I may be addicted.

I’ve posted tons of recipes: Crockpot Lasagna, Crockpot Oatmeal, Crockpot Jambalaya, Crockpot Chicken Tetrazzini, Crockpot Salsa Chicken, Crockpot Beef (Venison) Goulash, All Day Macaroni and Cheese, Chicken Chili Blanco, Cincinnati Chili (w/Crockpot Version). . . and of course my Ridiculously Easy Crockpot Roast.

Yeah-it’s an obsession.

It’s just that slow cookers are such a great asset for a frugal family.  Cooking from scratch is a fantastic way to save money-but it does take time.  And when you lead a busy life sometimes time and money are in equally short supply!  With your slow cooker just a few ingredients and a little bit of time in the morning (or even the night before-I’ve been known to fill the crock, stick it in the fridge and then pull it out in the morning to pop it in the crockpot) you’ve got a tasty, fast, money saving meal.

Well, Crockpot must have noticed my slight obsession-they asked me (along with a bunch of the other Walmart Moms) to do a “Crockstar Confession” and confess our deepest, darkest slow cooker secrets in a video.  Not only that but I got a brand spanky new Crockpot 7 Qt Programmable Cooker to use in the video!  (that was number 4)

Ohhh. Ahhh. Pretty. Am I a dork or what?

Today my video is featured over at the Crockpot-Crockstar Confessions Facebook Page.  Every day there will be a new video–plus if you answer a simple question about the video you’ll be entered for a chance to win $2,500!  You can answer a question on each video–so you’ll have a total of 30 chances to enter!

By the way-if you are reading this and my video is no longer the featured video then you can always see it here:  Jenn Fowler’s CrockStar Confession.
