It’s time to talk about Walmart’s Meal Solutions again! That’s when Walmart highlights the ingredients for a quick and easy weeknight meal. This week’s meal is a Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo that can be made in a flash.
Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo
GV Alfredo Pasta Sauce 16oz
GV Fettuccine 16oz
GV Chunk Breast of Chicken 12.5oz
GV Grated Parmesan 8oz
Sara Lee Garlic Bread 10oz
GV Diced Tomatoes 14.5oz
Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Cookie mix 17.5oz
The Walmart version of the recipe is simplicity itself. Just add the drained tomatoes and drained chicken to the jarred Alfredo sauce, heat through and toss with the cooked fettuccine (whole wheat or regular). Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and serve with garlic bread and chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
While that is a great way to whip up a dinner in a hurry, I’d rather, time permitting, whip up my Mock Alfredo Sauce (which can be made with skim milk and fat free cream cheese), toss in a can of drained diced tomatoes and some leftover cooked chicken into it and call it a meal.
Either way, it’s fast and delicious.
