Review and Giveaway: Rubbermaid Modular Canisters

I just love it when the folks from Rubbermaid contact me about a review and giveaway. They always have such great, useful products.
Although buying new isn’t as frugal as repurposing old yogurt containers, or buying mustard yellow 1970’s style containers at a yard sale (yes-I do that too!) there are some things that can be well worth paying for. Rubbermaid makes a quality product that you know you can use for years.
The item I have to review and giveaway this time are the Rubbermaid Modular Canisters. These containers are made to store bulk type items in your cupboards. Since they are rectangular and stackable, they can more fully utilize your space. And let’s face it-who has EVER felt that they have enough room in their Kitchen cupboards?
These canisters were designed to maximize the space you have in your pantry. They stack evenly to save space.
I was sent the “8pc” set to review. Of course it’s really 4 pieces, each with a lid.
The set includes a 5 cup, 10 cup, 16 cup, and 21 cup container.
These are attractive (I have a thing for red) and the lids snap on easily and securely. They hold a much larger volume then you would assume-the smallest one there holds five cups!
I have to admit-I did not use my containers to organize my cupboards. I know, I know. I’m just such a rebel! I have actually used mine in the fridge for food. When I made a big double batch of chicken pot pie filling that I needed to cool down before portioning out & freezing that medium sized container came in handy. One has become a nice see through “cookie jar” on top of my fridge-and I’ve been know to put homemade soup in the big one when I needed to refrigerate it. I can tell you from experience, these guys take up less room in the fridge as well!
So now on to the fun part-winning your very own 8pc set (retail value of around $25)!
This giveaway will run from Monday May 17th until Friday May 21st.
