Here is a quick video that my Blog World Expo 2008 roommate Colleen of Classy Mommy took of me this morning. I’m showing off the gorgeous room that we are sharing at the Wynn in Las Vegas. Don’t worry, I am pointing out all the unfrugal aspects of the room:

NOTE: Just as an FYI-ClassyMommy and I shared a room (as did all of the Walmart Executives) and it was purchased at the special conference rate. Still, if it had been up to me, I would have been at the Motel 8.

What a great video!!! I feel like I am there with you! Great tour, keep them coming, you are great in front of the camera. Let Classy Mommy know she did great with her Camera responsibilities. I know she is usually not the one filming her videos.

I felt the same way last year when I stayed at a super nice hotel (my sister paid for!!!) I hope you enjoy!!!
Feeling more than a little jealous at the minute. It was being built when I was there. Have a wee look out that huge window. See the Hilton on paradise, well look a few buildings to the right. See that ickle building with the sign advertising $5 surf and turf, that’s the Best Western Mardi Gras and the place I spent a happy week.
Did I mention, very jealous.
I wanna got to Blog World Expo!!! Maybe next year!?!?!?

hiya frugal upstate! i’m missing you! blog world was so much fun – and remember our stay at the wynn was frugal – in that our conference rate and sharing a room equalled total luxury! as you say everyone needs to know we they can save so they can be able to afford more when they need to! of course, kind of nice that this time it was FREE for us! seriously – what a room! my own bed is not that comfortable!

Classy Mommy was such a cool lady to have as a roomie! And the room was fabulous. It’s amazing how lavish everything, even the budget places, are in Las Vegas. It’s all about things being “BIG” there. The rooms in most of the hotels are actually much more reasonable than you would think for their lavishness-after all they want you to stay there so you can spend money, lots and lots of money, in their casino.
Blog World Expo was such a great experience. There were so many great seminars that it was sometimes hard to choose which to attend. And the speakers were top notch! I learned a lot about the mechanics of things, the different ideas for monetization, PR, dealing with companies, building an audience etc.
I also got to meet some really fantastic folks face to face.
I highly recommend it as a conference if you’ve got the means to go.
