Cheese Fondue


  • 5-6 oz Gruyer Cheese
  • 4 oz Swiss
  • 1 TS Cornstarch
  • 1/2 C Dry White Wine
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • Pepper


  1. Shred Swiss and Gruyer cheeses.
  2. In a microwave safe bowl, combine cheeses, cornstarch and wine.
  3. Microwave in short bursts (1 min at a time), stirring in between, until all the cheese is melted and combined with the wine.
  4. Stir in garlic powder and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer to fondue pot or a "dip" slow cooker and serve with bread cubes, crackers, pretzels or vegetables for dipping.

Recipe can be made in a double boiler on your stovetop instead.
