Canning season is in full swing, and I’ve got a great free resource for you today!
That’s right, the National Center for Home Food Preservation, which is THE source for accurate canning information in the US, has their entire USDA Complete Guide to Home Canning, 2015 revision available online. It even has pretty cover pages and chapter dividers.
There is a catch–you have to print it out chapter by chapter. But hey–that isn’t such a big deal! I printed it out, used a three hole punch on it and then loaded it into an old binder I had lying around. Viola–free, trustworthy canning guide.

Of course, if you don’t want to print it out yourself, you can buy a spiral bound copy from them for $19 + shipping. Me, I’m cheap. . . uh, I mean frugal. . . so I prefer the print it myself version.
Enjoy, and happy canning!
