Festival of Frugality

July 1, 2008 By Jenn @ Frugal Upstate 3 Comments

My “Frugal Food Series Part 3: Beans” article is included in this weeks Festival of Frugality. It is a truly huge festival with plenty of great reading for everyone. The host site is “Budgets are Sexy“, which cracks me up!

Head on over and check it out.

And don’t forget to post your awesome and frugal ground meat recipes for this week’s Frugal Food Series.

July 2 – I received an interesting hummus recipe from your site in my Google Reader results this morning, but I can’t find that recipe on the site. I’m not sure if I’m not looking in the correct place or there is a glitch. Thank you for the recipe. I can’t eat tahini, and I’m looking forward to trying the suggested substitutions for hummus without that ingredient. – Mac

Mac- Ooops, sorry! I backdated that post (even though I posted it today) so folks wouldn’t be confused at my posting a bean recipe in Ground Meat week. Looks like I managed to be confusing anyway.

If you go back to the frugal food week 3: Beans post, my Hummus recipe is the 38th one. There is also a recipe that I posted for a reader called chickpea spread that seems to be a hummus type thing but made with Mayo that might interest you. Number 32 I think.
