We moved full time to the Czech Republic in 2005. Of the things I miss, Walmart is in the top 5!!! Folks have no idea of the value of that store. Every time I buy a bath mat for the equivalent of $38.00 and I know I can get one at Walmart for five bucks, I want to scream. And the assortment of items………curtains, drapes, clothes, household items, etc., people have no idea how delightful shopping is when it can be done at a Walmart. When I return to the good old US of A for a visit, I go to Walmart and stock up on items I can not get here. They have the best kitchen curtains in the world. I so enjoy your articles. I have shared ideas with my Czech friends. Although they can not read them, I translate the ones I know would interest them. Thank you so much for taking the time to share.

Nancy–Your comment made my day! I’m so happy you enjoy my blog enough to share with your friends there in the Czech Republic. I’ve done a fair bit of travel in my life both for education, enjoyment and as a member of the military–I’ve seen places like India, Morocco, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and even Siberia. Folks really don’t realize how good they have it with Walmart here in the states!
