What do you get out of the Walmart 11 Moms?

I know, you’ve all been wondering it-

What do WE get out of Jenn being part of Walmart’s 11 Moms. I mean sure, she got to attend a cool blogging conference, and is traveling next week to Bentonville Arkansas to attend the famous “Walmart Saturday Morning Meeting“-where Harrison Ford and Paula Dean will also be in attendance. . . but what’s in it for us, the loyal readers?

Well, let me tell you. A LOT.

While I am at Bentonville, rubbing shoulders with Harrison Ford* and the other fabu Walmart Moms, will be participating in a LIVE CHAT. So you have the opportunity to log on and ask questions that I can answer in real time. We’ve been told that we will be given the opportunity to break some special news in that chat. . . . . I’m excited to see what it is!!

There will be lots of “special news” that the 11 Moms get first. Like perhaps early notice of the the infamous Black Friday deals???

Remember that winning entry for the Flip Digital Video Camera? I’m supposed to be making a Vlog (video blog) on how to celebrate a fabulous Thanksgiving on a budget. Well. . .. while we are at Walmart HQ, Cambells soup is throwing us a special Thanksgiving dinner on a budget at their test kitchens. And the Executive Chef-Chris Lee-from the 5 star “Gilt” restaurant at the Plaza Hotel in NY will be the one teaching us to cook the dinner! I will have the opportunity to film the process and also to interview him-look forward to an exciting Vlog! I’m hoping to ask him about what “must have” ingredients and equipment a frugal chef should splurge on.

Up till now, giveaways have been rather rare here at Frugal Upstate. No more! Some of Walmart’s suppliers have started to take notice of the 11 Moms, and are starting to offer us items to review. I’m happy to review them, and then pass many of the items on to my readers through giveaways. I’ve already received some fun Halloween wear-look for giveaway details early next week.

Trust me folks, the Flip Camera giveaway and this Halloween wear giveaway are just the start of things. Word on the street is that each of the 11 Moms will receive some of this season’s hottest toys to review. . . there will be more info coming on that shortly!

Speaking of getting things for free, all the 11 Moms are getting advance notice of all freebies being posted on Walmart.com-which I will be passing along as they come in.

*Note: Harrison Ford and Paula Dean will also be at the meeting, but the meeting is HUGE, so it is possible I won’t even be able to see them. But I’m HOPING to rub shoulders and snag an autograph or two.
