Frugal Alternative to Wet Wipes

Ever since Meredith got me interested in Bento (Bad Meredith!-Way too interesting.) I’ve added a few bento blogs to my bloglines feedreader account. Although I don’t actually pack Princess’s lunch as a full out bento, and I have resisted the urge to order lots of cool bento stuff (I do not need to spend, I do not need to spend, what I have works fine), I have found some inspiration and some neat ideas.

Lunch in a box had a great idea yesterday on how to make and package “wet wipes” to go. These are more of the wiping your hands and face variety, not the diapering type, and are a great green alternative, as well as being inexpensive.

If you were looking for how to make your own diaper wipes, check out this beauty from my archives: Make your own wet wipes.

I don’t exactly Bento, but I have Bento type container that is cheap. It is small and will fit easily into a free bottle holder from similac with and ice pack. If you need more containers at some point you may want to check it out.

Bento lunches are so cute (there’s even a site called “Cooking Cute” about it) and I wish I still had little kids to pack lunches like that. I would also have to restrain myself from all the neat things you can get–like a contraption that makes a square egg, LOL!

seis-thanks for the info. I’m trying to resist the buying of bento stuff though 🙂
