Welcome to "Making Home" readers!

March 12, 2007 By Jenn @ Frugal Upstate 5 Comments

And thank you to Jess for awarding me her “Most Frugal Blog Award” in her “after the Ultimate Blog Party” Awards!

For those of you visiting for the first time, she introduced me by saying:

The best money-saving blog I found this week is Frugal Upstate. This New Yorker will save you money in all kinds of ways, if you’ll take the time to dig. Whereas some people just focus on coupons or grocery shopping, she offers all kinds of frugal tips: how to hem your own jeans, how to get free TV programming, how to mend clothes,
and regularly posts frugal recipes. Poke around over there, and save some bucks.

So you don’t have to “dig” so hard, I thought I’d direct any of you folks who had wandered over via her link (as well as my other newer readers from the Ultimate Blog Party) to some of my more interesting areas and articles. For some of my long time readers this might be a fun sort of refresher.

To warm you up: 25 things I do to save money Meme-with link to the rest of the Meme’s over at Frugal for Life. (and if you really want to get to know me, you can always read the 100 thing about me Meme)

Wow, what a helpful post! Thanks for doing such a thorough summary of your best tips! 🙂 I’m gonna look forward to some good frugal reading today!

(Oh, and I totally understand what you mean about needing to learn html… it’s something we all want to avoid isn’t it? But, like you, I think it may be in my not-so-distant future!)

    Blessings-
    Jess @ Making Home

Great site — I am one of Jess’ regular readers. I will be back to visit…love the money saving ideas. We’ve just moved to another country for my husband to be a student (once again!) and saving is essential right now. Thanks!
