Well, today is Works For Me Wednesday. Shannon over at “Rocks in My Dryer” compiles a complete list of all the neat little tips and tricks that folks have to make their lives a bit easier every Wednesday. It doesn’t have to be anything earthshattering, it just has to “work for me”.
Today’s tip is something I picked up from a Martha Stewart organizational book years ago.
After you line your kitchen trash can with a new garbage bag, you can use two binder clips to hold the trash bag on. The little handles on the clip can be pushed down so they are flush with the sides of the can. Viola! No more bag slipping down and nastiness dribbling down the inside of your can.
Sorry I don’t have a picture of this tip in action, but my digital camera is on the fritz.

That IS a good tip! Then I could use the cheapie “twistie tie” bags rather than investing in the ones with drawstrings that I buy primarily to keep them ON THE CAN. Thanks!
I hate the nastiness dribbling down..so thank you very much. Do you think my husband will notice if I steal a few from his desk??
I like this idea for bathroom trash cans, too. Great tip!
I started doing this a while back and it really is a lifesaver–especially with kids who don’t know how to aim for the center of the can.
clever!! hate those slipping bags!
Great idea!
This is a great Idea. I have been using a bungy cord, and that has worked well.
