OK, for those of you who have absolutely, positively no idea what I am talking about, shame on you! I ran an “improve my blog” contest all last week (with additional info on the “Take a minute” post)! Folks were to post any ideas they had about how I could improve my blog, then one commenter’s name would be chosen randomly by my erstwhile assistant (aka Buddy via the “slips of paper in a hat” method).
Mary’s Comment was as follows:

I enjoy your blog, but don’t usually post comments. What I would like to see is more specific advice on living frugally. I agree that frugal and cheap are very different.
I would like you to give specific advice on just how that works in your life. For example, I am trying different things in my son’s lunch box because of your focus on Princess’ lunch box. Perhaps you could give some more home made ideas that work for you.
And though I appreciate the information about what other blogs are doing, I would love to hear what you do.
Some ideas about what I would like to hear your opinion on – what do you keep in your car that helps with remaining frugal? Can you tell me how to organize the mountain of Barbie stuff, frugally, but neatly? What is the one thing that you think some one wouldn’t think was a frugal purchase, but turns out to be the best, most money saving thing you have?
I will keep reading……
There were lots of great ideas given-I will address them all in a post either later today or tomorrow (depending on the festival roundup). Thank you to all the “contestants” for their valuable input! You guys really gave me some very good food for thought.

Looks like I missed the contest! I like Frugal Upstate very much like it already is–a matter-of-fact blend of theory and practice. If anything, I’d like to see some of your more adventurous side in the reports of daily frugal living. I know there’s a hidden Jen, the one who loves theatre and Harleys!
I’m also considering some of the design pointers you received, in regard to my own blog.
