Bargain Alert-Childrens Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen

The Dollar Tree has Children’s ElixSure brand Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen for, of course, a dollar a bottle. I checked the boxes against the Tylenol and Motrin brand stuff I have in the medicine chest. They are the same size (4oz) and have the same stregnth of medicine. It has been a while since I bought bottles at retail (I still am working on my stash of free stuff from the pediatric self help program that I built up before leaving the Army) but on Drugstore.com the exact same medicine in the same size retails for $5.99.

That’s a great price (and probably more reasonable to what the medications actually cost) Just be aware of the expiration dates! I doubt acetominophen will “stop” working after the expiration date, but if there is ever any kind of reaction to the medication the mfg may use that to their benefit. Just a thought!!
