This weeks Festival is hosted at Lazy Man and Money. He uses a baseball analogy as a way to organize the 24 posts included.
They are broken into 5 subcategories:
Babe Ruth (Best of)
Ted Williams (Splendid ways to live on the cheap)
Willie Mayes (great all-around)
Mickey Mantle (best players ever when injuries slowed him down)
Herb Washington (exclusively a pinch runner-articles that only briefly touched on a frugal lifestyle)
I was on the ball this week and got my post in on “How to Mend a Torn Seam” (filed under Ted Williams)
Here are a three that grabbed me this week for various reasons. As always I recommend you head on over and check out the entire festival.
The Frugal Duchess has a post on how to save money on things like movie tickets and Target purchases using your AAA membership. We always had AAA growing up-but then again, as teens we always had a car that was iffy about starting in the sometimes sub zero Maine winters. As an adult I actually don’t have a towing service. . . .
My Financial Journey talks about using blueberry bushes in his landscaping plan. Believe it or not, this is the time to start thinking about your gardening plans for the year. I talked last year about the idea of edible landscaping. Unfortunately I always have too many ideas and not enough time to accomplish them. But I shall continue to try!
The Frugal Law Student has a rather, uh, extreme idea :O Amy Dacyczyn would be proud.
Enjoy your reading.
