Well, day late and a dollar short, but with working on Tuesdays I think that is going to be the standard from now on. So look for the festival on Wednesdays!
This week it is back home at the Blueprint for Financial Prosperity, the originator and home of the Festival of Frugality. There are 21 entries this week. As always, here are just a few that caught my eye.
The Mighty Bargain Hunter talks about buying it now vs. buying it online and waiting for shipping. This is one of those areas where forethought can save you a lot of money. Personally, whenever I’ve just HAD to have something right away, I’ve usually found out that I didn’t really need it as badly as I thought.
Well, Amy over at Motherload has a ton of samples. It’s been a while since I’ve posted some samples, so I thought you’d all enjoy the opportunity to get some free stuff.
Money and Values has a nice article about saving money by cooking restaurant style meals at home. This is what I sort of do-I tend to only order meals out that I don’t know or can’t cook at home. We do eat a lot of ethnic food at home.
MattHutter (who seems to be a new entry on the festival) has a good point about teaching a kid the value of money.
Although I won’t actually buy any of these things, it is interesting to look at all the backyard solar powered items over at the American Inventor Spot.
Enjoy!!
