This weeks Festival of Frugality is hosted at “No Credit Needed Blog”. It is written in the form of a Financial Fairy Tale (how cute!) and has 31 entries-including mine about how to play Bunco. Here are the ones that caught my eye this week.
There is a recipe for Frappuccinos this week at Manage Your Money.com~~I have to admit that I haven’t ever tried a frappucinno, mostly because I was afraid that I would really like them, get addicted, and spend a ton of money on coffee every time I was out!!
Binary Dollar gives a nice link to the Energy Star site, where you can see how much you will save by making certain energy savings upgrades, like replacing your bulbs with compact fluorescents, or replacing your water heater with an energy efficient model. What really interested me about this article was the brief mention about covering your windows with wax paper to save on energy costs. . . . .Of course, I had to google it, but didn’t really find anything. Anyone have a clue?

My sister was asking me about a way to make a little more money but have her assets still liquid-this may be a choice for her to consider.

Thoughtful Consideration gives us a list of the “unforeseen” extra costs of owning a larger house. Since DH and I have been considering either building an addition or moving to a slightly larger house, this article gave me some good food for thought.
