The 51st Festival of Frugality is up over at the Frugal Duchess. Today there are 30 entries. Sharon divided them up by general topic and has posted a brief comment after most of them.
Here are a few that just begged me to open them up and read them immediately.
Over at My Two Dollars there is a list of some simple things you can do to save money. For the long time frugalities this is probably old hat-but there are lots of ideas to keep you thinking. I especially liked “10. Reuse paper products. In case you didn’t notice, there are 2 sides to every piece of paper”. A little sarcastic, but so true! I even make DH bring home scrap paper from work so we can print on it and the kids can draw on it. #20 is also pretty funny 🙂
Free Money Finance has a good tip on how to save a bit on your heating bill. I might have to utilize this one in our office (where my chilly little feet are complaining right now!)
Nina at Queercents saves money by cutting down on food waste. She cites some interesting articles and resources. This is something I personally have to work on. Since using my foodsaver to seal leftovers into canning jars, I throw food out much less frequently than I used to, but I still do throw out too much. One of my new years resolutions will probably be to waste even less.
Binary Dollar has ways to eat cheap in the city. Although I don’t personally need this tip, I like to be inculsionary for anyone who is a city dweller.
Money and Values personalizes gingerbread cookies for holiday gifts. While I make food gifts I never thought of personalizing them in that way. . . .
Did you know that you can get gift certificates from a coinstar machine-for the full value of the coins that you put in (ie no percentage charge for using the machine)? Mr. Cheap Stuff has a list of the various types of gift certificates/e-certificates that you can get. So empty out that coin jar!
Run on over and check out all of the entries.

Thanks for the mention and the link!
