Festival of Frugality

March 6, 2007 By Jenn @ Frugal Upstate Leave a Comment

This weeks Festival is over at “Getting Green“, which by the way is about getting MONEY, not getting ecologically sound. There are 19 entries this week, including 3 that are directed at being frugal in business, which is unusual for the festival.

As usual, I have chosen to spotlight a few of the posts that have “spoken” to me for various reasons. Feel free to mosey on over and check them all out though!

How to Throw a Kids Birthday Party without Spending a Fortune was the first article, and since Princess’s birthday is next month (a fact that she is KEENLY aware of) this caught my eye immediately. I personally am aghast at the extravagance of some parties, even here in rural upstate.

My Financial Journey continues to talk about Frugal landscaping. Even though it is 3 degrees today, I am still thinking about my spring garden. Think positive!

At Queercents John brings up the interesting question of what you can do when you are out and about and find yourself with time in between appointments to “waste” but don’t want to spend money. . . .What would you do?

Enjoy your reading!
