First, a quick poll:
This weeks festival is held over at Frugal for Life again. Dawn did a rather minimalist version this week, simply listing the titles of the entries and splitting all 38 of them into 3 categories-blogs ~Dawn had never heard of before, blogs she was familiar with, and entries with a unique perspective.
I figured I’d pick one from each category (not including my own article on Paper vs. Cloth Napkins) and review it for you:
Category 1: “Top Do It Yourself Websites” comes to us from lukeprog.com, whose tagline is: Better Living Through Better Thinking. There are 33 sites listed, many with video tutorials. If we buy this new, old house, then we’ll probably be needing a bit of DIY help!
Category 2: “Energy Saving Tips for Summer” comes from FIRE Finance. Although they aren’t one of my daily reads, I do pop over their occasionally. I particularly picked this post because I’ve had some questions from readers lately about saving electricity/energy. So, this ones for you!
Category 3: “Frugal Living Isn’t Magic-I Won’t Be Rich Overnight” comes to us from Family Finance Blog. Isn’t that title just the truth? To me, frugal living is about all the little baby steps that add up!
Next week’s festival is on Tuesday over at The Happy Rock (Cute name, eh? Although in the Army we referred to people who weren’t too swift on the uptake as “rocks”).

Thanks for posting a link to our post on “Energy Saving Tips”. Keep up the excellent blogging.
Cheers,
FIRE Finance
Thanks so much!! Annette
Glad to help, both of you!
