This week the Festival of Frugality is over at “Frugal Law Student”. There were an amazing 40 entries! Wow, that was a lot of reading.
A few titles particularly caught my eye:
The Chief Family Officer wrote about keeping your old cell phone when you buy a new one. One benefit that he didn’t mention was that even an old cell phone without a contract can be used to dial 911 in an emergency.
Cheap Healthy Good teaches you to stock your pantry. Interesting writing style as well.
Millionaire Mommy Next Door has a list of 52 ideas for cheap dates. Yankee Bill and I have been trying to spend more quality time together, we’ll have to peruse this list together and see if there are any other good ideas.
Grad Money Matters has a great article, with charts, explaining the cyclical nature of spending and frugality-along with strategies for dealing with it.
Those are just a few that I found interesting this week. Make sure to head on over to the Frugal Law Student to see them all.

Thanks for the mention of my date night article. Please let me know if you guys come up with any fun ideas too!
Your informative yard sale post will come in handy… boy do we need to do one (mom died last year and we have all her stuff crammed in our garage).
Thanks again.
Thanks for the mention! And you’re right, I should have noted that any cell phone can be used to dial 911 (not that I could live without my cell phone for very long – I love the safety net it provides!).
Not a problem ladies
Thanks for the link, Jenn. I really like your zucchini post, too. I’ve only recently discovered its goodness, and have been scarfing down a lot of Ratatouille.
