FLIA: Making Breadcrumbs

It’s the little frugalities in lfe that we sometimes forget to talk about-like tossing a bunch of breads odds & ends on some racks to dry out so I can make homemade breadcrumbs to store in the freezer.

Using up those odds & ends instead of letting them get moldy then throwing them out…well that’s Frugal Living in Action (FLIA).

It is so nice to see that I’m not the only one trying to save a few pennies here and there. I am laughed at by many becaue I cook from scratch in a world of convience and fast foods.I like knowing what is going in my food and knowing we aren’t eating a lot of preservatives. It seems that it is a rare thing to save and make your own bread crumbs but “I say ,why waste it”

I am right there with you Brenda-I do resort to convenience foods on rare occasion, but I love both saving money & knowing what goes into my food.

I’ve never made my own breadcrumbs, but you’re right it’s better than letter them go to waste.
