Folks I met at the Blog World Expo 2008!

There were lots of great folks that I met at the Blog World Expo 2008.

I got to meet the wonderful Colleen, my esteemed roomie for the trip and fellow Walmart 11Mom. She has a wonderful blog called Classy Mommy where she does vlog product reviews of baby and children’s items.

I’m the one on the left .

There were the folks from Walmart-John, in charge of New Media and general go to guy for anything to do with the 11Moms. Duncan from the Walmart.com division-the guy in charge of all the website stuff (As well as some really cool community and review stuff that’s coming up! Watch for it!) and the whole Rockfish Interactive Crew-Kenny, Melanie and Jerry.

Of course there were two more of the 11Moms-Lucretia aka Geekmommy (who was a panel moderator as a social media expert) and Jessica from JessicaKnows (representing Sparkplugging and Epson).

There were also tons of great speakers and influential blogging and new media types. I was thrilled to see that the crew from Wisebread was there. Wisebread is an awesome personal finance site with multiple contributors. Because of the variety of bloggers, they cover a wide range of topics: being frugal in the city, tips for trendy singles, & more serious minded financial stuff. They also have a forum.

The Wisebread folks were the only other Personal Finance bloggers I ran into at the conference. I was happy that I got a few minutes to talk with them, and Lynn Troung and I got a quick photo op.

Jenn from Frugal Upstate and Lynn from Wisebread.

I also was photographed and interviewed several times at the conference. You all already heard about my Blog Talk Radio interview, but ClassyMommy and I also had our picture taken by the blogger from “Aspen Spin” which he included in his “Girlz of BlogWorld” (don’t worry, despite the initial “girls in bikini” picture, the rest is pretty G rated-scroll down I’m the 6th picture). We were (very briefly) interviewed for Sparkplugging’s live coverage of the event.

There were also a few more video interviews done which I haven’t been sent the links to yet. I’ll post those when I get them!
