Those of you who have been following me for a while probably know that I LOVE to read. My first love in reading was the fantasy/SciFi genre. So I was very excited when my brother (Doc) wrote me with a link to free books on line.
Now, these aren’t weird “I just wrote my own book and noone will publish it, so I’ll publish it myself online” kind of books. This site is run BY THE PUBLISHER (Baen) and contains the complete books, not just “excerpts” from major authors like David Weber, Larry Niven, Mercedes Lackey, Andre Norton and Fred Saberhagen.
The introduction, by Eric Flint, is pretty long but very interesting. He discusses why Baen decided to publish full lenght books by some of their most popular authors.
So go over to the Baen Free Library and browse around! Enjoy!

Oh, cool! I’m going to check this out right now! Thanks!
Very neat! One of Mr. MoneyDummy’s and my favorite activities is to read the Lone Wolf books online. It’s WONDERFUL!
I was surprised to not see Paper Back Swap (http://www.paperbackswap.com/index.php?n=1&r_by=paula%40paurian.com ) on here. You join for free and list nine books. You get three free credits just for listing nine books. Then for each book you send out, and it is received, you get another credit. Each credit is worth one FREE book! All you pay is shipping to ship out YOUR book (when someone wants it). I have never had to pay over $3 for shipping out one of my books AND that is less than shipping costs alone from places like half.com.
