As anyone not simply using a feed reader can see, I am playing with my template colors again. (don’t forget to join my “Improve your Blog Month!”)
(Many thanks to Se7en over at Free Blog Templates for emailing me back and telling me where to insert the correct code-what a guy. Now I need help finding the post header code. I thought I had it, I changed it, nothing happened. I tried several of the other usual suspects. Nothing. Html doesn’t like me.)
I have found a couple of neat sites that can help you in picking out colors. A tip since on a lot of these you will never get the same combo to come up twice-when you find something you like, take a screen shot of it, and then cut and paste into a word document. Don’t worry if it is small, you can always enlarge it to 200% to read it later.
Web Colors is a simple page that shows a huge list of the colors and their names. Very helpful, especially since a lot of the other site didn’t show colors like beige and eggshell.
Pimp Your Space has a nice color scheme picker where you start out by sliding a button to a shade you like, changing the “hue” and “saturation” and then it gives you various combos that go with it (which is where I got the red and green combos I am using currently).
I’ll edit in a few more later, but I have to shower and get ready for the most wonderful 6th birthday party ever!

Oh I love the “PimpYourSpace” tool!!! what a great find, thanks!
I love your burgundy color (or is that “eggplant”?). Looks classy. I think I may now have to try some more colors!
I could just mess around with this stuff all day-but then nothing else would get done!
Jenn,
I need help doing the 3-column thing…I have not been able to do it despite your amazing links!! Any advice to me would be GREATLY appreciated!!
