Giveaway: 1 Year of Kraft Mac ‘n Cheese

July 14, 2009 By Jenn @ Frugal Upstate

GIVEAWAY CLOSED

Some things are just a “win-win” situtuation.

*cue twilight zone music*

Imagine if you will being offered the opportunity to receive a years supply (that’s 50 boxes) of  Kraft Macaroni and Cheese.  Who wouldn’t jump at that? After all when you have a 5 (almost 6) year old and an 8 year old in the house, Macaroni and Cheese is pretty much our lifeblood around here!  Add to that the opportunity to help out one of my readers (who are all trying to save a buck while living better) by hosting a giveaway where someone wins their own 50 boxes of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese.

And then, as if all of that weren’t enough, imagine that just for hosting the giveaway Kraft wouldl donate yet another 50 boxes to Feeding America*.  Wow, in these economic times I’m sure there are plenty of folks in need who would benefit from that!

But wait, there’s more! If a person were to use twitter, imagine that for every single tweet they did during the day with the #bluebox hashtag on the end of it, Kraft donated another box of Macaroni and Cheese to Feeding America, up to a total of 1 million boxes.  Wouldn’t that be a great way to help those in need without spending a dime yourself?

Well imagine no more-because that is in fact the opportunity I was offered by Kraft!

This giveaway runs from Tuesday July 14 until midnight, Eastern Standard Time on Monday July 20th.

So, how do you enter? Here are the rules.  Remember in order to be counted EACH ENTRY MUST BE A SEPARATE COMMENT.  Really folks, if you leave one comment and list 3 things you did, it only gets counted ONCE.

#1-Leave a comment here with how you like to eat your Macaroni and Cheese.  Yes, plain is an acceptable answer, but it is a heck of a lot more fun for the rest of us if you share some neat “dress it up” ideas!

#2-Head on over to the Share a Little Comfort website and click to have a box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese donated to Feeding America. (feel free to print yourself a coupon while you are there) Come back and comment about it.

#3-Tweet about this contest using this link and hashtag: http://budurl.com/8tv8  #bluebox, then come back and comment.

#4-Once a DAY you can do an additional tweet using the #bluebox hashtag and get an additional entry. Of course you have to come tell me about it.

There you go, plenty of ways to enter.  Good luck to you all.

PS-Thanks to those of you who let me know about the broken link for Share a little comfort. It’s fixed now 🙂

*Note: Feeding America, formerly America’s Second Harvest, is the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity. Each year, the Feeding America network provides food assistance to more than 25 million low-income people facing hunger in the United States, securing and distributing more than 2 billion pounds of donated food and grocery products annually.

I love Mac & Cheese with just a little bit of fresh ground pepper. Just enough to dress it up a little. My hubby likes it with hot dogs (through back to his childhood) and my 15 month old son likes it with ketchup.

I got an “Error 404 – Not Found” message when I clicked the link for “Share a Little Comfort.” Maybe this is due to security I have installed on my laptop.

This would be a blessing! My husband just lost his job and we’re on our last box! Our favorite way to eat it is with smoked sausage. My husband loves to add a little garlic powder to his. I make it with evaporated milk and always add a little extra cheese 🙂

My fave way to eat mac-n-cheese from a box? With diced tomato topping of course. The kids like a bit of ham and the hubster adds a good sprinkling of Texas Pete hot sauce. Fingers crossed, hoping I win!

I have a few ways I like to eat Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. How I eat it depends on which phase the KM&C is in.

A thorough analysis can be found here:
    http://bit.ly/28wCp

In summary, my father and son like theirs with ketchup. I do too on occasion. But I have moved onto Sriracha (aka rooster sauce)

Love it! I have to admit, i’m not a big kraft mac and cheese eater, but my husband and son DEVOUR the stuff. I have been stockpiling the easy mac cups and mac and cheese boxes all summer in anticipation for their carb overload this winter. They’re still eating through my stockpile NOW! The boy loves to eat his with cut up hot dogs mixed in. Yum? Yuck? Who knows!

  48. Amiyrah says

I donated a box. Haven’t tried to print coupons yet. I have printed them several times before so it probably won’t work. But I will try again later. LOL. The coupon for the buy 3 get 1 box of mac n cheese is a good one. I used 2 coupons last month at Target. They had them regular priced at 52 cents. So, i got them for $.39 each.

I like to eat mine with a pouch of Starkist hickory smoked tuna. My kids love it, but hubby thinks it’s disgusting.
