. . . because I said I start posting again after Thursday, and here I am on Saturday night and I still haven’t said anything.
Well, basically I’ve been exhausted and trying to recover from having too much fun this week. No, not the “I drank so much that it takes me days to recover” type deal of my youth, but rather the good, wholesome, “I stayed up late every night roasting marshmellows and talking around the campfire with old friends, but Buddy and Princess still got up at 6am every day anyway” type of exhaustion. So the last two days were spent trying to stay awake while doing laundry and getting life back into order post-vacation!
Then today we went out for breakfast with DH’s motorcycle club (ever seen two leather clad bikers coloring with a 5 year old princess?), then over to dear MIL’s place to fix the garage door and pick some grape leaves. Next our awesome neighbors and friends called and we had the opportunity to take the kids up to their land (about 30 min away) and spend the afternoon picking wild blueberries, riding their 4 wheeler, and splashing in the creek. DH helped to mow the meadow (each of the guys trailered their riding mower up there, along with a cooler of beer!) It might have taken me 4 hours, but I’ve probably got 3 cups of the smallest, sweetest berries you ever did see! I also got a pink nose, DH got covered with grass clippings, the kids got dripping wet and we all had a blast. Then we migrated back to our friends house for pizza while the kids created chaos in the back yard.
So here it is 930pm, we’ve been home for the first time since this morning, and I don’t have anything blogged š
Oh well, sometimes it is better to actually LIVE life rather than just write about it.
If it is any consolation, I’ve got a great post about the new addition to our family planned for tomorrow. (Does that peak your interest?)

Sounds like you had a wonderful time! š Jealous of the bike riding, I miss it.
Sound like fun! Just like summer should be. Princess and Buddy should soak up these fun filled memories!
