Well, so far I’ve changed my template (ok, so I’m still not totally thrilled with it-I need some sort of picture in the banner) and I’ve reorganized my sidebars (although I need to host my picture somewhere for my profile). For week three of Improve Your Blog Month, the project is to create a FAQ or First Time Visitors page.
FAQ is sort of a cute play on words if you ask me. It sounds like “Facts” when you say it, but it actually stands for “Frequently Asked Questions”. The idea is to develop a page/post that will be prominently listed in my sidebar for “new” visitors to the site to click on to get an overview of what Frugal Upstate is all about. It can contain a bit of background, some places to start reading, or literally some of the most frequently asked questions. . .. . the idea is still under development.
For an example of the sort of thing I am thinking of, you can take a look at Punny Money who has a “Welcome First Time Visitors” page.

Your blog looks great! I am stuck on sidebars and will definitely need another week. Certain things, if I put them in the right place, seem to throw the entire page off in the worst way!
In that regard, WordPress is alot more complicated.
